Why Should I Vote?
- By voting, you are given a say in how your money is spent and the quality of education that your family receives.
- When you don't vote, you let others speak for you.
- Voting in the municipal election allows you to take part in your community and gives you the best opportunity to make a difference. Elected municipal representatives make decisions on how property taxes are spent and what services to provide. School board trustees affect what kind of environment and education students receive.
When are Nominations Accepted?Nominations are accepted starting May 1, 2018. The last day for nominations to be accepted is July 27, 2018 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. local time.
Is My Name on the Voters' List?Until late July, 2018 voters can check their details including name, address, school support and birth information through MPAC's voterlookup program. Check your information early and update any information that is not correct prior to the Voting Period from October 15 to 22, 2018.
