EXTENDED HEAT WARNING: Environment and Climate Change Canada issued an Extended Heat Warning for London and Middlesex County from Monday, June 17 through Friday, June 21. The forecast predicts high temperatures of 33°C on Monday, 34°C on Tuesday, 33°C on Wednesday, 33°C on Thursday, and 31°C on Friday, with the heat expected to ease on Saturday when the temperature is anticipated to drop to 30°C ending the heat warning.
During the Heat Alert, libraries will be available as cooling centers during regular operating hours.
The Municipality of Southwest Middlesex has opened the Recreation Centre, at 138 Mill Street in Glencoe, as a cooling center from Monday, June 17th to Friday, June 21st during the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm.
