Southwest Middlesex Council Approves 2025 Budget, Investing in Infrastructure and Community Services
GLENCOE, ON – At a special budget meeting on March 20, 2025, Council approved the 2025 budget, balancing key infrastructure investments with fiscal responsibility. The budget approved a net 4.32% tax increase, translating to an additional $5.72 per month for every $100,000 in residential property value. For example, a home assessed at $300,000 will see an increase of $17.15 per month in taxes.
“This budget balances fiscal responsibility with key infrastructure investments,” said Mayor Allan Mayhew. “Focusing on water and stormwater improvements, we’re strengthening services while ensuring efficient use of taxpayer dollars to support long-term community growth and sustainability.”
The final budget will be approved by by-law at the April 9, 2025 Council Meeting.
