Livestock Valuers:
Livestock Valuers are citizens appointed by the municipality to investigate incidents of livestock injury or death from wildlife. The Livestock Valuer investigates the claim within 48 hours of the incident being discovered, completes a detailed report and submits a copy to the owner and the Municipal Clerk. The Clerk then submits the report to the Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program on behalf of the owner, to be assessed for possible monetary compensation.
