Victory Garden Launch Party with the Farmerettes!
June 21, 2023 Celebrate the summer solstice in the Victory Gardens in Appin.
6:00-6:45 p.m. Storytelling and Crafts in the Victory Garden.
7:00 p.m. at the Ekfrid Community Centre. Bonnie Sitter and Shirleyan English, authors of " Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz - Memories of Ontario Farmerettes" will tell the stories of high school girls who worked on Ontario farms form ten years starting in 1941.
